Happy Holidays Family and Friends,

The month starts out with the New Moon in Gemini -Monday, December 4th - for the next couple of days expect to find yourself restless, needing to share with others and doing two things at once!! A great time to start something...Holiday shopping perhaps?

The past few weeks brought what appeared to be....a never ending amount of emotions, angst and according to some....depression. So, if you dear readers experienced any of the above...know that you were not alone and that aspect is almost over. In fact, the date to look forward to is Dec 7 when Mars joins the party of planets in an alignment moving into the fiery sign of Sagittarius.

As I mentioned last month this Stellium of 6 planets include the Sun ( your true self), Venus (planet of love), Mercury (planet of communication) , Mars ( planet of action and passion), Jupiter (planet of good fortune) and Pluto (planet of transformation). This is such a rare occurance -so many planets in one sign - only happened once before in 2000 - 7 planets in Taurus!
All these lovely planets will stay active in Sagittarius throughout December and while one after the other will leave as we approach the New Year, Jupiter and Pluto will stay in Sagittarius until the end of 2007!

Now what does all this planetary energy mean? Well lets look at Sagittarius for a moment.....Sagittarius has come to represent freedom, independance, travel, philosphy, higher learning, optimisim and good health. Apply this to each of the 6 planets - for example the qualities of Sag coupled with Mercury and you might find yourself talking about traveling or checking out places to visit on the internet. Sag with Mars - you may find yourself needing to get in a car and take a road trip. Sag with Venus - you may fall in love with someone who loves to take classes and so it goes...... so much of how this energy plays out depends where these planets fall in your natal chart. But regardless, you will enjoy this Holiday with all these fiery planets partying together....the one concern here though is that with all this fire there may be times when you might feel 'heated' in discussion with family and friends (or maybe the retail clerk behind the counter?).....or you may feel the 'urgency' to get stuff accomplished during this time and drive, walk, or run too fast ...so keep this in mind and tread lightly with yourself and others.

Wednesday, December 20 the Full Moon is in Sagittarius....another heavenly body in Sag.... try not to act impulsively....its only 5 days until Christmas!.....I know...I know...by now you want to take a trip...go somewhere...anywhere....get away from all the madness of the moment......the perfect day for you to get outside.....now is the time for that run around the park, that bike ride up Mission Peak or that motorcycle ride to Harmony!!

Those born in December have quite a few gemstones designated in their honor - Blue Zircon, Lapis Lazuli, Turquoise and the newest one- Tanzanite.
Tanzanite was declared a December birthstone just a few years ago by AGTA - the American Gem Trade Association.
